CPHFW Revolutionizes with Circular Fashion Innovations
Excitement abounds as Copenhagen Fashion Week partners with SPIN.FASHION for the upcoming season, focusing on the CPHFW NEWTALENT scheme supported by CIRCULOSE®. This collaboration commences with the digitization of selected runway looks from designers for the AW24 edition. Participants include MLGA, Alectra Rothschild/Masculina, Rolf Ekroth, Latimmier, Nicklas Skovgaard, and Stamm, with pieces available for physical and digital exploration through SPIN's smart-labels within the CPHFW NEWTALENT showroom.
At the heart of SPIN.FASHION's innovation lies its end-to-end system, enabling circular fashion business models on a grand scale. This comprehensive suite of technologies includes blockchain-driven supply chain traceability, integration of third-party Digital Product Passports (DPP) and 3D digital twins modeling system including augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR).
A key aspect of SPIN.FASHION's platform is its blockchain-based traceability system, ensuring transparency throughout the supply chain. This transparency not only benefits brands and designers by providing insight into the production process but also empowers customers with ownership of physical and digital goods. The platform facilitates circular business models, allowing for take-back, resale, care, and repair at the post-purchase level, opening new revenue streams for brands and creators.
Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) stands as the premier fashion event in Northern Europe, held biannually in January/February and August. In alignment with Copenhagen Fashion Week's commitment to sustainability, SPIN.FASHION's web3 circularity infrastructure represents a significant stride towards a more sustainable and transparent fashion industry. At The Fashion Technology Collective, we underscore the event's dedication to circular fashion and education.
SPIN.FASHION is part of Lablaco, a Singapore-based platform that also includes CFS Media and was founded in 2016 by Italian designer Lor Albrighi.
